This course offers students the opportunity to practice speaking and writing about sustainability goals in English in both personal and professional contexts.

First in conversation and later in group work, students practice vocabulary related to sustainable development. Students explore and record their own development by writing personal reflection pieces. Later they work in groups and examine a case study related to their field. Each group produces a podcast about their case. In the final assignment, students submit a piece of academic writing.

Throughout the course, students receive feedback on their use of language, including vocabulary, grammar, and style.

No final exam – the course mark is based on completing a range of tasks:

• Personal reflection pieces and forum responses = 20 %

• Reading and vocabulary test = 20 %

• Group podcast and presentation = 30 %

• Final writing task = 30 %
