 Josh ChoSwenja Zaremba selected as Thomas Mann Fellow 2022

We are proud to announce that ZAK’s research associate Swenja Zaremba has been selected as one out of five fellows of the Thomas Mann House 2022!
During her fellowship in Los Angeles she would like to show in a case study the transformative potential the method of community organizing can have for civil society networks and what the method possibly can contribute to local democracy.

For its support of volunteer work the 'Verband Deutscher Studierendeninitiativen e.V.' (VDSI) awards KIT the certificate "Engagierte Hochschule" (Committed University) for its support of volunteer work. The application was submitted by the ZAK for the 'Balu und Du' mentoring program.

The mentoring program "Balu und Du" receives the 1st prize of the Child-Friendliness Award 2022 of the City of Karlsruhe. The prize comes with 750€ and is awarded for special engagement towards the interests of children, teenagers and families in Karlsruhe. We are very happy!
