Colloquium Fundamentale

Concept

The Colloquium Fundamentale is one of the main lecture series at KIT. It is held every semester, each time focusing on a particular interdisciplinary subject. The Colloquium Fundamentale features a lecture series, debates and panel discussions, and addresses KIT students and employees as well as the interested public. Usually, in the winter semester it focuses on a topic of sociopolitical relevance, while in the summer semester it features a field of research with its social interdependencies. The Colloquium Fundamentale aims at giving a multifaceted insight into the respective topics.

The events take place on Thursdays during the semester, usually every two weeks.
