Melania Inés Kluge

The pianist Melania Inés Kluge studied piano and lied accompaniment at the Karlsruhe University of Music with Olga Rissin, Hartmut Höll, and Mitsuko Shirai, and she passed her concert exam in 2012 with distinction. Master courses with Elena Kuschnerova, Sontraud Speidel, and Alexander Braginsky, as well as Dietrich Fischer Dieskau, Udo Reinemann, Daniel Fueter, Wolfram Rieger, Brigitte Fassbaender and Thomas Quasthoff expanded her studies. She gives concerts regularly and successfully plays in competitions at home and abroad, where in addition to solo performances with orchestras she can also be heard playing in lieder. In 2012 she was awarded the special prize for best lied accompaniment at the International Robert Schumann Competition in Zwickau. She was recently heard as a soloist for two evenings at the Baden-Baden Festival Hall in the production Shoot the Moon with the Netherlands Dance Theatre. She lives and works as a pianist and piano teacher in Karlsruhe.
