How long can I register for the Sustainability Spring Days?
The registration deadline is the 21st of March 2022
What rules apply to absences and can they be compensated?
Students who are temporarily absent due to exams or illness may still achieve credit points if the absence does not exceed 2 hours. Absences of more than 2 hours will be compensated by editing more questions in the reflection report.
Please inform us in advance if you have absences during the Sustainability Spring Days, we will give you more detailed information.
Which requirements do I have to provide to achieve 2, 3, 4 or 5 credit points?
  • 2 credit points: Participation in all components of the Sustainability Spring Days at KIT 2021
    + Reflection report question 1 – 4 (6,000 – 9,000 characters incl. blanks)
  • 3 credit points: Participation in all components of the Sustainability Spring Days at KIT 2021
    + Reflection report question 1 – 9 (12,000 – 15,000 characters incl. blanks)
  • 4 credit points: Participation in all components of the Sustainability Spring Days at KIT 2021
    + Reflection report question 1 – 4 (6,000 – 9,000 characters incl. blanks)
    + Participation in the workshop Self-experiments
    + Conduct and document a self experiment (graded if required)
  • 5 credit points (only possible in the Supplementary Studies on Culture and Society): Participation in all components of the Sustainability Spring Days at KIT 2021
    + Reflection report question 1 – 9 (12,000 – 15,000 characters incl. blanks)
    + Participation in the workshop Self-experiments
    + Conduct and document a self experiment (graded if required)

Until when do I have to submit the reflection report?
Please email the reflection report, fully edited, to fruehlingstage∂zak.kit.edu by 14th of April 2022.
Do the classic excursions take place in presence?
The Public Keynote Speech and the Virtual Fair of Opportunities will be held as online events, while online workshops and excursions will be offered as well as some in presence. More information will be published in due time. 
How do I participate in the Virtual Fair of Opportunities and which tool is used in the online format?
The Virtual Fair of Opportunities live event will take place on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 from 5:30pm - 7:00pm via Zoom
In which semester will the credit points be credited?
Even though the credit points are not uploaded until the summer semester due to the processing time, they are assigned to the winter semester in which the Sustainability Spring Days take place.
What should I do if I finish my studies at KIT at the end of the winter semester and need the credit points urgently?
For individual solutions, please contact us in time by mail or phone.
I am not studying, but would still like to participate in workshops and excursions.
Guest students who would like to participate in individual workshops and excursions, please contact us by email before the event. All other individuals may attend the public keynote speech and the Virtual Fair of Opportunities online without registration.
