Inhalt | Citizens Assemblies on climate change engage people from diverse gender and race identities, generations, geographic areas, socio-economic and educational backgrounds, etc. to discuss and elaborate recommendations for policies on climate change. In the past few years this form of participatory decision-making has been gaining momentum throughout Europe and globally to ensure a wide and robust social consensus on the climate crisis. Such deliberations represent an applied area, where effective day-to-day conversations on climate change are crucial. Constructive daily conversations on climate change, however, have been scarce due to the socio-political polarization and confinement of such discussion to the "green areas" membership, including academia. In this course-workshop, depending on the participants interests, a range of topics from daily communication to citizens assemblies on climate change will be addressed and the participants will have the opportunity to immerse in evidence-based practice of associated skills. |
